Having been a resident of Streatham Common North for a few years now, I've always had the idea of capturing the scenic landscapes during the various seasons and also to bring the local artists together in our community.
Last year I started to put together a body of work focussing on the Common and Rookery. Thankfully I was given the opportunity, through the Friends of Streatham Common North, to hold an art exhibition in the Rookery.
Presently, I've completed about 45 pieces and hope to continue working until its time to curate the show. The landscape around the Common has transformed tremendously from the Winter to the end of Spring. I'm pleased that I was able to capture some of this changing landscape and hope the works will be appreciated.
In the meantime I've uploaded a few current works in progress and time-lapse videos for your enjoyment.
The response to the Perspectives Exhibition has been tremendous. The sales were good and I managed to make a few very interesting contacts. The exhibition was also recognised by 2 publishers in South West London and several pieces were published as cover illustrations or as part of a small feature. I have copied a link to one of the features below for you perusal. Thank you all for your support in making the exhibition a huge success!
